New Skincare & Makeup Buys in April

April starts with some purchases; of things that have been sitting on my wishlist and things that I bought out of necessities. It left quiet a dent in my bank account but considering 3 of them are something that I will get sooner and later, and I was presented with chance to buy them with lower prices, I regret none of it.

Laneige Essential Balancing Emulsion; this is the new version of my holy grail moisturizer that I've mentioned in my latest empty post. It's simply impossible for me to  live without it at the moment with how many acne scars I have, I need to get rid of them fast and I don't feel like going in another trial-error with new products just for the sake of trying new product.

Laneige Essential Power Skin Refiner Light; is the toner from the same series with the moisturizer. This has been sitting on the back of my wishlist for so long, but for some reason, they're always out of stock in my country. My aunt went to Korea two weeks ago, and I managed to get my hand on this thanks to her help, it costed less than if I bought it locally, so I couldn't resist.

Laneige Clear C Peeling Mask; another thing in my wishlist is this peeling mask. I heard great things about Clear C range and its ability to bring brightness back to the skin. Out of all products they have in range, this peeling mask interests me the most. I haven't tried any peeling products before, so I thought I'd give this a chance. It has strawberry seeds that's supposed to help removing dead skin cells easily without being too abrasive.

Zoeva Caramel Melange Palette; I've been lusting over this palette for so long since it's release but they're always out of stock. When they're back online, I didn't think and just went straight to purchase it. This palette consist of 10 colors with equal amount of matte, shimmer. I can tell that Liquid Center is gonna be my favorite color.

High End Skincare Wishlist

Stepping up my skincare game was my beauty goal in 2016. Now I've found the one formula that's perfect for my blemish-prone, oily skin, I feel like venturing into different brands and different types of skincare. There're so many lovely brands mentioned in my favorite blogs, and here a couple that have intrigued me most. Many of them are facial oils, because they do wonder in working through skins to improve its condition plus adding extra moisture and glow.

Product Empties #03

Kiehl’s ultra facial oil free toner | no repurchase; I love Kiehl’s, I really do. I had high expectation when I bought but this toner didn’t do anything special. It doesn’t mean this is bad toner per se; it was fine but nothing spectacular and didn’t give me that refreshing feeling that I love to feel whenever I’m whipping my face with well-toned cotton pads.

The Body Shop British Rose Shower Gel | Repurchase; oh, I love this shower gel. It smells a lot better than TBS’ previous atlas rose shower gel; lighter and uplifting, also it makes my skin silky soft afterward, definitely repurchasing this.

Majolica Majorca Lash Aesthetic mascara | Maybe repurchase; as an avid Majolica Majorca fan, their mascara will always have special place in my heart. It thickens as well as elongates my short lases, it’s waterproof and easy to remove as well. Definitely ticked the boxes to be favorite mascara.

Shiseido Perfect Whip | REPURCHASE; I think I’ve mentioned this cleanser a hundred of times already, so I’ll just summarize it as the best cleanser ever existed in the planet. I think this is my 8th or maybe even 10th bottle already, I love it that much that I’ve ordered another.

Jill Stuart Fruit & Aroma Mist Refresh Oil Control | No repurchase; this facial mist smells of heavenly fruits, a dash of mint, and Jill Stuart’s signature rose. During hot, sweltering days, this is such a life saver, especially since it also has mattifying effect. If this wasn’t a limited edition product, I’d repurchase it.

Bare Minerals Mineral Veil | No repurchase; this loose powder was very hyped around the time I started blogging, and I think still until today. I just don’t find anything special from this loose powder, even Maybelline Fit me does better job at keeping my makeup from slipping and setting my makeup. Maybe my skin simply didn’t get along with it.

Max Factor Primer | Maybe repurchase; I’ve sung my praise for this primer from heaven and back already. This smoothing primer not only plump up my face and cancels some redness, but also adds a natural glow to my skin, making my makeup application easier without striping it from glow. It’s sad to part with it, but I won’t be repurchasing it for now in trial of other primer.

Beyond Alice in Wonderland Handcream | No repurchase; this lovely almond-scented hand cream is now sitting pretty on my vanity as decoration. As a hand cream, this did pretty well job at keeping my hand smooth, but nothing stellar from moisturizing part.

Laneige White Balance Emulstion Light | Repurchase; I finally relented and bought another bottle of this emulsion. Nothing had helped vanishing my blemish scar as fast as when I combined this with Kiehl’s blemish clearing cream, and with my recent breakout, repurchase of this became an obligation.

Looking forward in April

1. Red and pink eyeshadows; I’m ready to pull reddish-pink eyes throughout the month. Though many people avoid putting red on the eyes in fear of looking swollen, with the right color combination with your skin tone, I think you can do a great red eyeshadow look. This one from Denitslava will always be my favorite.

2. Pink manicures; I’ll be adding touch of pinks to my nails as well. My love for Jill Stuart polishes have been well documented in this blog, of course I’m gonna pull them back again this season.

3. Favorite singer’s birthday and new musics; with Jonghyun’s birthday around the corner, I will be dedicating my playlist for him this month. He’s a truly versatile artist that can pull EDM like Moon then tugged my heart string with this heart-wrenching melody of Skeleton Flower.

4. Season greeting’s arrival; as mentioned in previous post, I ordered season greeting from BANANA FISH and it’s supposed to arrive around mid-April, I’m excited already for their stunning photographs! 

5. Eat healthier; I’ve been back to eating salads and skipping huge lunch lately, I need to tone down my night-time bread as well. I’m thinking of skipping white bread with fruits, adding some nuts, and yogurt for milk.

6. Picking up floral scent; I was gifted My Burberry perfume last year but I still haven’t touched it at all. This month, I’ll make more use of this modern take of Burberry’s fragrances.

7. Decorating my room; after the arrival new furniture last month, I’m thinking of upgrading my room. I’ve started from hanging collage strings above my bed, ordering a new chair (white gregor from IKEA), new bedding, and wire board for my table.

8. Reunion with old friend; a lovely, dear friend of mine is finally back to the country. I’m planning to pick her up at airport and spend a couple of days with her, we have so many to catch up with.
